About Spring of Life Oromo Church
A Christ-centered, Oromo-rooted church family in Washington DC welcoming all who seek God's love.
Who we are
Spring of Life Oromo Church welcomes all individuals seeking God's love. We are a Christ-centered, Oromo-rooted community in Washington DC, immigrant-based with a mostly Ethiopian congregation. We welcome people from all language backgrounds with translation support.
We gather to worship God, grow in biblical teaching and discipleship, care for one another, and reach our community with the love of Christ.
Worship and Languages
Our worship reflects Oromo language and cultural warmth while staying centered on Jesus Christ through prayer, praise, and the preaching of God's Word.
Spring of Life Oromo Church welcomes people from all language backgrounds. Translation support is available so everyone can worship, listen, and grow together in Christ.
What Our Logo Represents
Our logo reflects who we are as Spring of Life Oromo Church: Oromo-rooted, Christ-centered, and open to all.
The mark is inspired by the Odaa tree as a cultural image of gathering, shelter, wisdom, and community. Its form also points toward a sanctuary and the cross, reminding us that our deepest identity is found in Jesus Christ.
This logo is not a political symbol and it is not a statement of traditional religious doctrine. It is a simple visual reminder of our calling: to gather in worship, grow in faith, serve one another, and welcome all people into new life in Christ.
What to Expect and Leadership
Warm greetings, participatory worship, Scripture-centered teaching, and space for prayer and fellowship in a welcoming immigrant church community.
Pastor Reta Terfa leads Spring of Life Oromo Church (SOLOC) alongside ministry leaders who serve the congregation together.
